Theย Haunted Halloweenย Historyย Dander was a great success and was well attended.ย Joseph McCoy led the party around the eerie sitesย of old Maghera and enthralled the crowd with spine-chilling tales such as the thirteen-stepย courthouse and the ghostlyย prison cart which can still be seen on a winter’s night.
Theย groupย went on toย hear aboutย the spooky doings at the Fairย Hill andย Mainย Streetย and listened to tales of the uncanny based on Victoria House.ย Then they moved on toย theย Oldย Rectory and the ancient church ofย Stย Lurach’sย ย – both steepedย in mystery, story and legend.
Finallyย a visit toย the old Stationย Master’sย House ended an evening spent with the ghosts of Maghera’s past.
